“I had a horrendous experience with a dentist when I was 16 years old. It resulted in me developing a phobia that affected me for 27 years – just the very thought of going to the dentist, let alone sitting in the chair, would induce panic.

For nearly 30 years I looked after my own teeth, even to the point of extracting 3 myself when needed, the fear was so bad.

However, it finally got to the point where my gums had receeded and many of my teeth were loose. Reluctantly, I accepted. I needed help but I had no idea where to start. I felt embarassed by my smile and didn’t want to feel I was being judged just because I was terrified.

I was recommended to Dental Centre Turkey by a friend who convinced me to get in touch. The first visit was a general check-up and x-ray that clearly showed that I needed to have most of my teeth removed as my gums had receeded so badly.

The prospect of having nearly 20 teeth out was absolutely terrifying, I can’t put it any clearer than that. But Louise and her team reassured me that under sedation the treatment could be carried out and I would remember very little about it, so I agreed.

That was 6 months ago and I’m now half-way through the process of getting my smile back via dentures and then implants. I remember nothing at all about any of the work and I really can’t speak highly enough of the Dental Centre Turkey team, they’re brilliant. If they helped me, they can help anyone!”
